Peaches and Cream Dessert (215 calories)

Good Morning!  Boy do I have a dessert for you!  I really like to center my recipes around texture and color.  I am a person who loves diversity.

I am also a person who requires dessert after EVERY meal.  Breakfast included.

So here is a dessert that works well with any meal, breakfast included.  We are adults.  We can have dessert FOR breakfast, if we want!  Here's how it goes:

First, cut two pieces of Phyllo dough, cut them in half, and stack them, spraying no-calorie butter in between each layer.  Then, I gently crumbled up some foil and draped the Phyllo dough over this and cooked it for about 5 minutes, until it looked golden.
Golden Phyllo dough, in my oven.
Then, while the dough was cooking, I cut up a peach, mixed it with Splenda, and a dash of cinnamon, and I sauteed it.  I added water until it bubbled and whispered sweet nothings to me.

psst.....  Sweet Nothings......
Once the dough was done cooking, I flipped it over and removed the foil by gently crumbling it up some more.  This is why it was so important that you didn't squish it all the way before you draped.  Put the Phyllo dough in a bowl.

Spoon about 1/3 of a cup of fat free yogurt into the bowl....

Put your peaches in next...

Spoon another dollop of yogurt on top, and finish with a sprig of mint.

Enjoy the conflicting texture of the crunchy Phyllo dough, and the creamy yogurt and peaches!

Go ahead.  Eat the mint.  You know you want to....

Puppies are always a good way to start off

Here's a puppy.  Gaze into his loving brown eyes and allow yourself to feel warmth and happiness.
That's how you should feel after you eat.
Hello!  I am trying to set up a blog, so that we can share low calorie, high flavor recipes!  You should feel happy after eating a good meal, not hungry (or worse guilty!!).  The objective of this blog is to present recipes with portions for normal people, who like to taste yummy things.

I have tried to find other low calorie, high flavor blogs with good, healthy recipes that have fresh (unprocessed) ingredients that anyone can afford and access, and I have not had much luck.

Low calorie doesn't mean low flavor!  It doesn't mean high cost!  It means savvy cooking.

Thus, please, don't hesitate to send me your recipes!  Here's the rules of my recipes:
-  It shouldn't be ridiculously expensive
-  It should be low calorie (duh!!)
-  It doesn't have to be a "you" or "me" original, but credit needs to go where it is due!

So send me some good recipes, and I will start posting what I am making.  Here we go!
